TEL1 will officially open for passenger service on 31 January 2020, with free travel available for three days, from 31 January to 2 February 2020. Visitors can take free rides between the three TEL1 stations - Woodlands North, Woodlands, and Woodlands South, and also explore them. One of those consulted was architect Cliff Tan, 31, whose proposed revamp of the MRT map went viral in April, and bears a striking resemblance to the finalised map.
